National competence center for rare diagnoses.
In 2019, the national competence service for rare diagnoses, Sjelden.no, chose Vidi as a supplier following a public tender competition.
Background and purpose
As the competence center’s most important channel for spreading knowledge, the website’s design, structure and technical solutions must support the main objectives of making visible the center and its diagnoses. Good presentation of information whether it is text, images, illustrations, film, sound or animations must be presented in a simple and user-friendly way. The websites must meet current privacy requirements and be universally designed.
Colors and Typography
Vidi has further developed the brand profile and adapted color choices so that they are in line with current regulations for contrasts according to Universal Design.
Search by filtering
New filtering / sorting function for all diagnoses based on diagnosis, target group, content type and certification.
We have migrated all diagnoses from old to new solution in a new CMS and adapted these to the new website and the new filtering options.
New web portal for Sjelden.no
Service design was used in the process of designing and developing a new web portal for Sjelden.no. This involved a full review of user patterns, user interfaces and user experience both in relation to general content and advanced functionality such as sorting and filtering of diagnoses.
The design is responsive and is Universally Designed in accordance with the requirements for Universal Design of public services.
For Sjelden.no, we have chosen to offer WordPress as a publishing solution due to the large amount of reusable modules and the scalability of the tool. In addition, the tool is very easy to maintain and further develop. This will give Sjelden.no a robust and cost-effective platform that is very scalable. The solution has a built-in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor with templates for media-rich content.
