Sumo needed a new inviting digital platform that clarifies the restaurant’s profile.
Sumo is a restaurant chain that focuses on sushi and Asian hot dishes. The chain so far consists of four restaurants, but the chain is constantly growing. Sumo needed a new inviting digital platform that clarifies the restaurant’s profile. They wanted the new website to contain the restaurant’s menu, integration for table reservations and the restaurant’s locations with maps.
It was especially important that the locations were clearly visible on the front page and that the website was designed in relation to the existing profile. The website should give the same expression and feeling on the web as in the restaurant. It was also desired that the website should bring out Sumo serving more than just sushi.
Colors and Typography
We developed the website according to the existing profile.
When it comes to designing the website of a restaurant, it is important that the food looks tempting and that the overall impression gives a welcoming feeling. Location and choice of images reflect this.
New Web portal
The website was designed with a modern look and use of new trends such as flat design combined with shadow effects and layers. Existing graphic color profile was used for the preparation of new elements.
We put the chain’s locations with contact information maps and opening hours easily accessible on the front page. A table reservation system was added to the website, where you can easily book a table at the desired restaurant. The website also has a system for take-away and home delivery with online booking.
